Symptoms
Assume that you add a Web Services for Devices (WSD) printer on a Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer. You upgrade the computer to Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2 by using a full upgrade that preserves apps, user data, user accounts, and Windows settings. When the upgrade is complete, the WSD printer is removed from the printer list unexpectedly. Because the printer driver is still installed on the computer, you expect that the printer can be migrated successfully.
