This article describes an issue that occurs when you wake a computer from sleep mode in Windows 8.1. An update is available to resolve this issue. Before you install this update, check out the Prerequisites section.
Symptoms
This issue occurs when you have a computer that is running x64-based version of Windows 8.1, and the computer has an Intel HD Graphics chipset and an additional AMD Radeon discrete GPU.
You may receive a Stop error message that resembles the following:STOP: 0x00000113 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)

This Stop error indicates a VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR issue.

The parameters in this Stop error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.

Not all "0x00000113" Stop errors are caused by this issue.
How to obtain this update
Important Do not install a language pack after you install this update. If you do, the language-specific changes in the update will not be applied, and you will have to reinstall the update. For more information, see Add language packs to Windows.
