This article describes two issues that occur when you use the Software Inventory Logging (SIL) feature in Windows Server 2012 R2. You can resolve these issues by using the update in this article. Before you install this update, check out the Prerequisites section.

Symptoms

After you install the November 2014 update rollup (3000850) in Windows Server 2012 R2, you may encounter one of the following issues.

Issue 1

The SIL hourly task examines the wrong certificate store when it tries to forward the data over HTTPS to a target URI.

Issue 2

After a virtual machine (VM) is migrated to a different hypervisor host, incomplete data is forwarded over HTTPS because the host change does not trigger a new local inventory as you expect.
