Microsoft Internet Explorer sürüm 4.x veya daha eski bir sürümünü kullanarak bir Dosya Aktarım Protokolü (FTP) sitesinde aşağıdaki biçimde Tekdüzen Kaynak Konum Belirleyicisi (URL) veya Internet adresiyle oturum açmaya çalıştığınızda:
ftp://kullanıcı:parola@ftp_sunucusu/url_yolu
aşağıdaki hata iletilerinden birini alabilirsiniz:
  • "ftp://kullanıcı@ftp_sunucusu/url_yolu" yolunu açma girişimi başarısız oldu veya iptal edildi.
  • Parolaya izin verilmedi.
Güvenli bir FTP sitesinde oturum açmak üzere Internet Explorer 5x veya 6 kullandığınızda, aşağıdaki hata iletisini alabilirsiniz:
FTP Sunucusu'ndaki klasör açılırken bir hata oluştu. Bu klasöre erişim izniniz olduğundan emin olun.

Internet Explorer 4.x veya öncesinde parola gerektiren bir FTP sitesinde oturum açmak için, URL'yi aşağıdaki biçimde yazın:
ftp://kullanıcı:parola@ftp_sunucusu/url_yolu
Burada kullanıcı, kullanıcı adınız; ftp_sunucusu, ftp sunucusunun adresi; parola, parolanız ve url_yolu da oturum açılacak dizindir.

Bir etki alanının üyesiyseniz, ters eğik çizgi (\) bir sabit karakter olarak gönderildiği ve Internet Explorer bir Web adresini ayrıştırmak yerine hatalı olarak bir dosya aradığı için, "ftp://etki_alanı_adı\kullanıcı_adı:parola@url_yolu" başarısız olabilir. etki_alanı_adı\kullanıcı_adı içindeki ters eğik çizgi (\) yerine etki_alanı_adı%5Ckullanıcı_adı kullanıldığında düzgün çalışır.

Internet Explorer 5.x ve 6 ile bir güvenli FTP sitesinde oturum açmak için:
  1. Dilediğiniz FTP sitesinde oturum açın, bir hata iletisi alırsanız Tamam'ı tıklatın, Dosya'yı tıklatın ve sonra da Farklı Oturum Aç'ı tıklatın.
  2. Kullanıcı Adı kutusuna kullanıcı adınızı yazın ve SEKME tuşuna basın.
