SUMMARY

This article describes the Microsoft Office Excel 2010 issue that is fixed in the hotfix package that is dated August 31, 2010.

INTRODUCTION

Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario. In Excel 2010, you open an embedded Excel worksheet in another document. Then, you copy some content from the worksheet and paste that content as an embedded worksheet elsewhere. In this scenario, the past operation fails unless an instance of Excel is running in the background.

  • Assume that you have two ranges of data that overlap an address but from different worksheets. In Office Excel 2010, if you pass the two ranges of data to functions such as SUMIF, COUNTIF, and AVERAGEIF, the calculation produces inaccurate results.
