Computers that are running Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 or later versions that have one of the following consumer inkjet printers installed are affected by this vulnerability even if they have password-based printer sharing disabled: Although these printers are no longer actively produced, legacy users of these devices are specifically recommended to install this security update.

Known issues about this security update

• After you install this security update, in certain scenarios, you may be unable to use a web application to print to a file. If you open the related print queue, you may find that the print job has a status of "error – printing." Additionally, the printer status may change to "error."   You cannot print results to files by using web applications in Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2 after you install security update MS10-061
• After you install this security update, you may receive a printing-related warning message from your antivirus software. Also, you may be unable to print documents, or you may be unable to connect to network printer unless you click Permit or Yes in the warning message dialog box. The message may vary, depending on your configuration.
  
  To work around this issue, click Permit or Yes when you receive the warning message. Or, install the latest updates for your antivirus software before you install this security update.

The English (United States) version of this software update installs files that have the attributes that are listed in the following tables. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The dates and times for these files on your local computer are displayed in your local time and with your current daylight saving time (DST) bias.
