Executing the query

Internal error: An unexpected exception occurred.

Execution complete

Additionally, a mini-dump file may be generated in the SSAS log folder.

Notes
  • If you run an UPDATE CUBE statement on calculated members in a cube, you receive the following error message and no dump file is generated:
    Executing the query

Errors in cell writeback: The cell writeback operation has a calculated member as current coordinate, which is not allowed.

    Execution complete
  • A writeback operation is not supported on the calculated measure or on the calculated member.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because SSAS does not check the calculated measure. Therefore, SSAS does not return the correct error message.
