SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario:

CAUSEThis issue occurs because the following registry key is not cleared when you install Exchange Server 2010 SP1 on the server: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ExchangeServer\v14\Replay\State\<database GUID>\DumpsterInfo RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, install the following update rollup: 2529939

Description of Update Rollup 3 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 1 WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, manually delete the following registry key on the server: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ExchangeServer\v14\Replay\State\<database GUID>\DumpsterInfo STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
