Hotfix Package 4 for Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.6 RTM: October 2010

This article describes a hotfix package that contains the latest hotfixes for Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.6 RTM and that is dated October 2010.

This hotfix package addresses the following issues:

• When you run the vssadmin list shadowstorage command on the Q drive of Application Virtualization in Windows Vista or in a later version of Windows, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
  
  Error: The shadow copy provider had an unexpected error while trying to process the specified command.
• Application Virtualization Client might encounter a "0x00000001" Stop error.

Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must have Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.6 RTM installed. However, this hotfix does not apply to the localized release of Application Virtualization 4.6 (4.6.0.20200). 

Restart requirement

You must restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.
