Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1(SP1) fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1(SP1) fix release.
Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You create a SQL Server Agent job. You set the following schedule settings for the job in SQL Server 2008:

You set the schedule type to recurring.
-
You set the frequency to daily.
-
You specify a start date and an end date for duration.
-

You restart the SQL Server Agent service after the specified end date.
In this scenario, the job incorrectly runs.
For example, you schedule a job to run between July 2 and July 5 daily. However, the job runs again on July 7.
Cause
This issue occurs because of an error in the scheduling algorithm of the SQL Server Agent service.
