0x80131500 error and IsaManagedCtrl does not start in Forefront TMG 2010 after you install Exchange 2010 SP1 if the Email Protection feature is enabledArticle ID: 2454850 - View products that this article applies to. SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario:
CAUSEThis issue occurs because TMG depends on the anti-spam cmdlets that are removed by Exchange Server 2010 SP1. Therefore, TMG Managed Control service cannot start. The TMG Managed Control (IsaManagedCtrl) service uses the Get-AntispamUpdates cmdlets to generate snapshots of the Forefront Protection for Exchange (FPE) configuration. Additionally, the service uses the cmdlets to show the Update status on the Update Center Properties page of the Forefront TMG Management console.
