Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You install and configure Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Master Data Services (MDS) on a computer.
-
You set the Number of domain-based attributes in list property of an MDS database to a small value by using Master Data Services Configuration Manager.
For example, you set the Number of domain-based attributes in list property to 10. -
You try to apply filter criteria for an attribute in Entities Explorer of the MDS website.
In this scenario, a drop-down list is always displayed instead of a search box when you double-click a filter criteria box to enable the criteria. This issue occurs even if the number of items in the drop-down list is larger than the value of the Number of domain-based attributes in list property.
Note If there are more available items than the limit that is set in the Number of domain-based attributes in list property, a search box should be displayed instead of a drop-down list.Resolution
