Symptoms
Assume that you have a third-party ActiveX control in a pane of an Excel 2010 document. When you use the control’s toggle visibility feature, the position of the control changes to a different cell.
Note This issue occurs specifically when the pane that contains the control is frozen and the zoom level is not 100 percent.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, apply the following hotfix:

After you install the hotfix package, follow these steps to enable the hotfix:

Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.

Locate and then select the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\Options

On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Type OLEVisibilityResizeOnScale, and then press ENTER.

In the Details pane, right-click OLEVisibilityResizeOnScale, and then click Modify.

In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.

Exit Registry Editor.
