Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have more than 100 public folders on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) server.

  • You use the Get-PublicFolderStatistics cmdlet together with the Identity parameter to retrieve statistical information about a specific public folder. The public folder is not one of the first 100 folders that are returned.

In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

Couldn't find public folder "\<Path>" on server "<Server>".
+ CategoryInfo : InvalidData: (\<Path>:PublicFolderIdParameter) [Get-PublicFolderStatistics], InvalidOperationException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : 6FB6D023,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.MapiTasks.GetPublicFolderStatistics

Additionly, the Public Folder Management Console does not display statistical information for public folders that are numbered higher than 100. When you try to view the properties for these folders, you receive the following error message:

Not available on this server.

Cause

This issue occurs because the ResultSize parameter of the Get-PublicFolderStatistics cmdlet has a default value of 100.
