FIX: MDX query incorrectly returns NULL or 0 values for some measures if a calculated member is used on the row axis in SSAS 2008 R2

Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 fix release.

SYMPTOMS

When you run a Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query against an instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services (SSAS 2008 R2), the query incorrectly returns a NULL or 0 value for some measures.

Notes
  • This issue usually occurs when the MDX query contains a calculated member on the row axis.
  • The query may return correct results in some earlier versions of SQL Server. For example, the query may return correct results in Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
