INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • A form template contains a text box which calculates a value that is based on a secondary data connection in SharePoint Server 2010.
    • The secondary data connection is uninitialized when the form template is loading.
    • You click a button which initializes the secondary data connection on the form template.
    • The text box calculates its value that is based on the secondary data connection.
    • You save the form template.
    • You open the form template again.

In this scenario, the value in the text box changes from the initialized data value to the uninitialized data value.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a form that contains form code and uses the userName() function in Microsoft InfoPath 2010.
    • You publish the form to a SharePoint Server 2010 site.
    • You try to type text into the form on the SharePoint site.

In this scenario, you receive an error message.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create an InfoPath 2010 form template that uses the property promotion feature.
    • You create a workflow that logs the information from the promoted fields to the Workflow History list.
    • You create a form library in SharePoint Server 2010.
    • You associate the form library with the InfoPath form template and the workflow.
    • You run the workflow.

In this scenario, the workflow does not work correctly.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create an InfoPath 2010 form which has a data connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database.
    • The data connection uses SQL authentication.
    • The data connection is set to be retrieved on the form load or there is a rule to query the data connection.
    • You publish the form to a SharePoint Server 2010 site collection.
    • You open the form on the SharePoint site and query the data connection.

In this scenario, you receive an error message that states that the data connection failed.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You publish an InfoPath 2010 form to a SharePoint Server 2010 document library.
    • You use a mobile device to visit the SharePoint document library.
    • You type text into the form through the mobile device.
    • You close the form and try to go back to the SharePoint document library.

In this scenario, an error webpage is generated and you cannot move away from the error webpage.
  • Assume that you use a customized InfoPath form in a SharePoint Server 2010 custom list. When you try to add a list item to the custom list, you receive the following error message:

    Access denied
