This article describes the Microsoft Word 2010 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated June 28, 2011.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you open a Word 2010 document that contains a macro from a network share. In this situation, when you run the macro that uses the Application.OrganizerCopy method, you receive the following error message:

    Runtime error '4149': File not found

  • Assume that you run a macro that uses the PrintOut method in Word 2010. In this situation , you receive the following error message if the Append parameter is set to True, and the PrintToFile parameter is set to True:

    Runtime error '5460': A file error has occurred

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You insert an ActiveX control at the beginning of a paragraph in Word 2010.

    • The paragraph is pointed by a bookmark.

    • You save the document as RTF format.

    In this scenario, the start position of the bookmark is null.

  • When you use the Send to Word functionality ofMicrosoft OneNote 2010 or Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 to send content to Word 2010, the Send to Word functionality does not work if the Normal.dotm file is located on a network share.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problems that are described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
