SYMPTOMS

The RtcpIsLocalServiceCluster function consumes excessive CPU resources in a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 database.

CAUSE

The issue occurs because lots of stored procedures use a macro that calls the RtcpIsLocalServiceCluster function.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
