Article ID: 2586828 - View products that this article applies to.
The EdgeTransport.exe process may consume 100 percent of CPU resources on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Edge Transport server. When this issue occurs, the Edge Transport server stops responding.
Note This issue may occur when the Edge Transport server is under a heavy workload, and frequent changes are made to the transport configuration files.
This issue occurs because multiple threads access an object to retrieve certain TransportConfigContainer properties that are out of the schema at the same time on the Edge Transport server.
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
