Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or Microsoft SQL Server 2012 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012 fix release.
Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You have Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or Microsoft SQL Server 2012 PowerPivot for Microsoft Office Excel 2010 installed on a computer.

You create multiple Excel 2010 worksheets that use PowerPivot for Excel 2010 to access and analyze a VertiPaq database.

You update the Excel 2010 worksheets at the same time.
In this scenario, one of the following incorrect results is returned in the Excel 2010 worksheets:

A #NUM! error

An incorrect numeric value
