FIX: Send Ports that use the HostApps adapter are suspended when new messages are submitted in Host Integration Server 2009
Article ID: 2644207 - View products that this article applies to.
Consider the following scenario:
A message sent to adapter "HostApps" on send port "port_name" with URI "TI/RE_Type/<Default RE>" is suspended.
This problem occurs because Host Integration Server 2009 cumulative update 1 (CU1) includes a change that renames the Remote Environment types for the BizTalk Adapter for Host Applications (HostApps). This causes an incompatibility with Remote Environment types that were used in the initial Host Integration Server 2009 release.
The hotfix that resolves this issue is included in cumulative update package 4 for Host Integration Server 2009.

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
This problem does not occur if the Send Ports that use the HostApps adapter are configured to use a TI Remote Environment Type property of <Any host type>. The HostApps Transport Properties dialog box includes the following Host Type if <Any host type> is selected:
TI/<any host type>/<Default RE>
