INTRODUCTION
Cumulative update package 7 for SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack 2 contains hotfixes for issues that were fixed after the release of Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack 2 (SP2). Note This is build 3.5.8089.00 of the cumulative update package.We recommend that you test hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because the builds are cumulative, each new update release contains all the hotfixes and all the security updates that were included with the previous SQL Server Compact 3.5 update release. We recommend that you consider applying the most recent update release.

How to obtain this cumulative update package
A supported cumulative update package is now available from Microsoft. However, this update package is intended to correct only the problems that are described in this article. Apply this cumulative update package only to computers that are experiencing these problems. This cumulative update package may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by any of these problems, we recommend that you wait for the next SQL Server Compact 3.5 service pack that contains the hotfixes in this cumulative update package. If the cumulative update package is available for download, the top of this Knowledge Base article has a "Hotfix download available" section. If this section does not appear, contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain the cumulative update package. Note If additional issues occur or if any troubleshooting is required, you may have to create a separate service request.
