This article describes the new features that are included in the RTM version of Windows Phone Software Development Kit (SDK) 7.1.1

This update enables the following new features:

The ability to develop Windows Phone applications for low-memory devices

The ability to test Windows Phone applications on a low-memory emulator that has approximately 256 megabytes (MB) of memory
