SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3-based run-time image installed on a device.
  • The image is configured to support the Input Method Editor (IME).
  • You use Windows Internet Explorer to open an HTML file that contains an input element that enables the ime-mode property. For example, the file contains an input element that resembles the following:
    <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="INPUT" style="ime-mode:active">
  • You click the input element so that it receives the focus.

In this scenario, you find that the configured IME is not active.
