Symptoms
Assume that users hold a conference that contains lots of participants in a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 environment. In this situation, the Lync Server Front-End service crashes when the Archiving service tries to write data to the SQL database. Additionally, the following exception code is received:

Also, the following event is logged in the Application log:
Note The time stamp, Ntdll.dll version number, process id, and application start time in the description of the error message are based on the environment.Cause
This issue occurs because the Archiving agent on the server tries to collect the information of each user who is in the instant message (IM) Delivery Notification report.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, install the following update:2701585Description of the update for Lync Server 2010: June 2012
