Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 on a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack (SP2) site server.
  • You install Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010 on the server.
  • You upgrade from SQL Server 2008 R2 to Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
In this scenario, Forefront Endpoint Protection reporting point does not work as expected. You cannot receive new data in the Forefront Endpoint Protection data warehouse or see new data in Forefront Endpoint Protection reports.

The following error message will also be seen in the event view:

SQLServerAgent:

SQL Server Scheduled Job 'FEP_GetNewData_FEPDW_XYZ' (0x106AAE1B2901F84D9C7FE071290866EA) - Status: Failed - Invoked on: 2012-02-09 13:45:00 - Message: The job failed.  The Job was invoked by Schedule 10 (JobSchedule).  The last step to run was step 2 (ssisFEP_UploadSccmDataToDw_FEPDW_XYZ)

Cause

This issue occurs because some SQL jobs and procedures of Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010 Update Rollup 1 do not work in SQL Server 2012.
