SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You log on to a mailbox by using Microsoft Outlook Web App in Firefox 8 in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 environment.
  • You open an email message that contains an attachment in Outlook Web App (OWA).
  • You save the attachment as File_name.type. For example, you save the attachment as File_name.xlsx.
In this scenario, the attachment is saved as attachment.ashx instead of file.xlsx.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the file name of the attachment is enclosed in quotation marks in the code for Firefox 8. Therefore, the attachment is saved incorrectly.
