A user cannot log on to a mailbox that is full by using Outlook Web App in an Exchange Server 2010 environment
Article ID: 2705647 - View products that this article applies to.
Consider the following scenario:
You've exceeded the storage limit for your mailbox. Delete some items from your mailbox.
Additionally, because the user cannot log on to the mailbox, the user cannot delete email messages. Therefore, the user cannot reduce the size of the mailbox.
This issue is caused by a QuotaExceededException exception that occurs if the IPM.Configuration.OWA.UserOptions object exists when Outlook Web App tries to save the Outlook Web App configuration settings of a user whose mailbox is full.
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2685289/ )Description of Update Rollup 3 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2
To work around this issue, use the Microsoft Exchange Server MPAI Editor (MFCMAPI) to manually delete the IPM.Configuration.OWA.UserOptions object from the user’s mailbox.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
