INTRODUCTION

Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Office 2013. This update provides the latest fixes for the 32-bit and the 64-bit editions of Office 2013 and Office Home and Student 2013 RT. Additionally, this update contains stability and performance improvements.

Issue that this update fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You have a notebook on a Microsoft SharePoint server.

    • You insert two or more files onto a page of the notebook at the same time.

    • The total size of the files exceeds 8 megabytes (MB).

    In this scenario, you receive an incomplete sync error, and the files are not uploaded.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You perform a multi-roundtrip upload in an OneNote section.

    • Another user changes some text in the same section of the notebook.

    • You synchronize the notebook.

    In this scenario, you cannot see the changes to the notebook, or you can only see part of the changes to the notebook.

How to obtain and install the update

Note This update applies to Office 2013 MSI installations only. This update does not apply to click-to-run installations. To identify the installation version of Office 2013, follow these steps:

  1. Start an Office 2013 application, such as Microsoft Word 2013.

  2. On the File menu, click Account.

  3. If Office 2013 was installed by using Click-to-Run, an "Update Options" item is displayed. For an MSI installation, the "Update Options" item is not displayed.

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. If you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.

  2. Type windows update, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click View installed updates in the search results.

  3. In the list of updates, locate and then tap or click update 2726954, and then tap or click Uninstall.

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.

  2. Type Appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.

  3. Click View installed updates.

  4. In the list of updates, locate and then click update 2726954, and then click Uninstall.
