Summary
This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Outlook 2010 hotfix package that is dated February 12, 2013.
INTRODUCTION
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
User A adds a meeting to a shared calendar.
-
The Show As field is set to Free in the meeting.
-
User B has Free/Busy permissions for the shared calendar.
-
User B opens the shared calendar in Outlook 2010.
-
-
Assume that you close Outlook 2010 and then delete the .ost file of an account. Then, you disconnect the Internet connection, and then you restart Outlook 2010. When you reconnect the Internet connection and then close and restart Outlook 2010, some default folders such as the Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks folders are duplicated.
-
After you set the PstDisableGrow registry value to 1 on a computer that has Outlook 2010 installed, you cannot synchronize calendar item updates between Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and Outlook 2010.
-
Assume that you use a keyboard with a German keyboard layout on a computer that has Outlook 2010 installed. When you use a compound word to search for email messages that contain the compound word, no search results are returned.
-
Assume that you click the Related button in the Editing section on the ribbon in Outlook 2010. When you click the "Messages in this Conversation" option in an email message, Outlook 2010 crashes.
-
When you add an additional calendar that has the calendar access permission to your profile in Outlook 2010, the Calendar label is dim and difficult to read.
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You create a custom form that has a rich text body in Outlook 2010.
-
You replace the IPM.Note message class with the custom form by using Outlook Forms Administrator (Formswap.exe).
-
You restart Outlook 2010.
-
You set the Compose messages in this format value to Rich Text in the Outlook Options dialog box.
-
You create a new email message.
-
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have the SendAs permission for a mailbox in a restricted distribution list in Outlook 2010.
-
The restricted distribution list is configured so that only members of the restricted distribution list can send email messages to the restricted distribution list.
-
You try to send an email message to the restricted distribution list on behalf of the mailbox.
You don't have permission to send to: <Restricted Distribution List>.
-
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You select the Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items check box on the Automatic Download tab in the Trust Center dialog box in Outlook 2010.
-
The other check boxes on the tab are not selected.
-
You use the Outlook Object Model (OOM) to reply to an email message that contains several pictures.
-
-
Assume that you create an OOM event that is triggered when an item is removed from the Inbox folder in Outlook 2010. When you use a Quick Step to move an item from the Inbox folder to another folder, the OOM event is not triggered.
-
Assume that you enable the Schedule View function for a shared calendar that contains many categorized items in Outlook 2010. When you scroll horizontally to see the appointments in the shared calendar, the appointments take longer than expected to appear.
-
Assume that you install a custom MAPI provider by using a file path that contains a period. When you add the MAPI provider to a profile in Outlook 2010, the MAPI provider is not displayed as an option in the profile.
