Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2012 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2012 fix release.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have an entity that has change tracking enabled in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Master Data Services (MDS).

  • You create a change tracking group, and then you add some attributes of the entity into the change tracking group.

  • You change an attribute that is in the change tracking group, and the attribute is flagged as changed.

  • You change an attribute of the entity that is not in the change tracking group.

In this scenario, the changed attribute in the change tracking group is reset and is flagged as unchanged.
