Symptoms

When you try to receive an encrypted Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) message together with asynchronous Message Disposition Notification (MDN) in a BizTalk Server 2010 or in BizTalk Server 2013 environment, the message is suspended and you receive the following error message:

A message received by adapter "HTTP" on receive location "receive location" with URI "URI" is suspended. There was a failure executing the receive pipeline: "pipeline, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35 " Source: "Pipeline " Receive Port: "receive port" URI: "URI" Reason: The Messaging Engine encountered an error while reading the message stream.
