Applies ToLync Server 2013

Symptoms

Assume that you change a user's distinguished name in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) in a Microsoft Lync Server 2013 environment. In this situation, other changes for the user are not updated in the Address Book Service (ABS) databases. Therefore, when you sign in to a Lync Server 2013 client and then try to search for the user in the address book, the original information is returned.

Cause

This issue occurs because the ABS incorrectly handles the situation in which the user's distinguished name is changed.
