Approved "Actual Work" hours are missing in Project Server 2010 if a timesheet update is rejected and then resubmitted while the project is checked out when it contains unedited "Actual Work."
For example, consider the following scenario:
A project manager creates a project with a task in Project Server 2010, and then assigns the task to a user.
The project manager keeps the project checked out.
The user goes to the timesheet, enters 8 hours for per-day "Actual Work" for Monday through Friday, and then submits the updates.
The project manager rejects the request for some reason. For example, he rejects the request because the user worked only 6 hours on Monday.
The user goes to the timesheet, changes the per-day "Actual Work" for Monday to 6 hours, leaves Tuesday through Friday unchanged, and then re-submits the request.
The project manager approves the new "Actual Work" times.
The project manager checks in the project in Microsoft Project Professional.
The project manager opens the project in Project Professional.
In this scenario, the "Actual Work" of the task is only present for Monday when checking the resource usage. The "Actual Work" hours for the rest of the week are missing.
Assume that you create a project by using an Enterprise Project Type (EPT) template in Project Web Access (PWA). In this situation, the tasks that are associated with this project are missing when you open the project by using Project Professional.
