This article describes update 2837643 for Microsoft Office 2013 and Office Home and Student 2013 RT that was released on November 12, 2013. Download and install the update

You can use Windows Update to download and install the update (recommended).Notes

  • The update for Office Home and Student 2013 RT is available only from Windows Update.

  • This update applies to MSI-based Office 2013 edition. This update does not apply to Office 2013 Click-to-Run edition such as Microsoft Office 365 Home.

  1. Start an Office 2013 application such as Microsoft Word 2013.

  2. On the File menu, click Account.

  3. For Office 2013 Click-to-Run edition, an Update Options item is displayed. For MSI-based Office 2013 edition, the Update Options item is not displayed.

Issues that this update fixes

  • When you use touch gestures on large-screen devices in PowerPoint 2013, the mouse toolbar sometimes appears at the lower left of a slide.

  • When you use touch-swipe navigation to move to the next slide in slide show view in a presentation PowerPoint 2013, the previous slide is displayed unexpectedly.

  • When you open the Options dialog box in the Japanese version of Lync 2013, you cannot click the OK, Cancel, and Help buttons.

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. If you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.

  2. Type windows update, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click View installed updates in the search results.

  3. In the list of updates, locate and then tap or click update 2837643, and then tap or click Uninstall.

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.

  2. Type Appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.

  3. Click View installed updates.

  4. In the list of updates, locate and then click update 2837643, and then click Uninstall.
