SUMMARY

When you open a webpage do you may see a red x instead of pictures? There are several reasons why you might be unable to see pictures on a webpage. Let’s fix the problem so you can get back to browsing.

RESOLUTION

First, make sure Internet Explorer is set to display pictures. If the Show Pictures option in Internet Explorer is turned off, you won’t see pictures.
  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Startbutton

    . In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.
  2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll to the Multimedia section, and then select the Show Pictures check box.
  5. Click OK.
