Do Vacation Requests entered and approved in HRMSS for BP update the Timecard in Business Portal or flow to Microsoft Dynamics GP?
Cause
The Vacation Request feature in HRMSSS Time and Attendance for BP integrates with Microsoft Office Outlook. This is an Add-In that allows you to create and save vacation requests in Outlook and automatically creates a document in BP for the manager's approval. This Vacation Approval process is informational only to the employee that their time-off request has been approved. Nothing is done with the information past the approval process.
Resolution
The Vacation Request Outlook feature only offers an automated approval process for vacation requests through BP, and is informational only to the employee that their request has been approved. The approved time does not automatically flow to a Timecard in BP or to Microsoft Dynamics GP. The system does not make any assumptions that the employee actually took the time off. The employee will still need to manually enter the time taken on a Timecard in BP to submit for approval.
