This hotfix also applies to Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services (SSAS 2014).

Symptoms

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services (SSAS 2008 R2) or SSAS 2012 or SSAS 2014 may crash when one of the following conditions is true:
  • Multiple threads try to access a cube script statement for the first time concurrently.
  • Multiple threads try to access a cube script statement concurrently after executing a clear cache command.

Resolution

The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.

Cumulative Update 1 for SQL Server 2014

Cumulative Update 8 for SQL Server 2012 SP1

Cumulative Update 10 for SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2
