To set up an HTTP server to download the update files for LRS that does not have Internet access in Windows Server 2012 R2, follow these steps:
  1. Add the Web Server (IIS) role in Windows Server 2012 R2.
  2. Click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager in Server Manager\Tools.
  3. In IIS Manager, open the tree for your HTTP server and then expand the Sites node.
  4. Right-click the Sites node, and then select Add Virtual Directory. Create a name for access by using IP address\Name. Select the physical path of the folder on a disk where you will download the LRS public update manifest and associate files.

Note The OEM may require the physical folder to be a specific folder in a folder structure. So you must select the extracted OEM root directory as your physical path, and then follow the OEM instructions for the file path to specify in the following path:
LRS Admin Console\Web Updates\Download from internal server text box
  5. After you download files, make sure that the server will serve all files to download by visiting each address, such as IP address\Name\File.extension.

Note If a file is not served, add a MIME type for the file in IIS Manager.
