Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a device that runs Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, or Windows Server 2012 R2.

  • The device connects to a digital media receiver (DMR) device.

  • You start a Music app to play the songs on a playlist, and you set the volume to something other than 100.

  • You use the Play To feature to play the playlist from the device to the DMR device.

In this scenario, the first song plays at the volume that you set, but the volume of the next song is reduced unexpectedly. Eventually, the volume goes down to zero. You can manually increase the volume, but it is reduced again on the next song. Note This issue does not occur if the Music app volume is set to 100.
