Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have a computer that uses a mobile broadband adapter. The adapter uses the Mobile Broadband Interface Module (MBIM) to support multiple broadband network providers.
-
You open the View Available Networks UI (VAN UI), and then you click Find more.
-
A list of mobile broadband networks is displayed, and you select one of the networks.
-
The firmware of the adapter has been updated.
-
You click Find more again.
In this scenario, Find more becomes Searching and freezes, and the VAN UI displays the list of mobile broadband networks. To recover from the frozen status, the mobile broadband adapter must be disabled and then re-enabled in Device Manager.
