Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You have a computer that is running Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, or Windows Server 2012 R2.

You try to open an attachment in Microsoft Outlook, and you use folder redirection to save the attachment to a specific folder.

The network connection has a high level of latency.
In this scenario, it takes a long time to open the file. For example, it may take more than 30 seconds to open a small text file.
Resolution
