This article describes a situation in which an MP4 file cannot be played correctly on a device that is not running a Windows-based system. We have released updates and hotfixes that have prerequisites to resolve this issue in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
Symptoms
This issue occurs if the MP4 file is longer than 429 seconds. Additionally, you may encounter a situation in which the MP4 file stops unexpectedly after it has played for some time (such as 25 seconds).
Cause
This issue occurs because of an overflow in the movie box atoms generator.

Method 3: Hotfix package
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. If this section does not appear, submit a request to Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain the hotfix.
