Symptoms
Assume that you select the Warn if changing between secure and not secure mode option in the Advanced tab of the Internet Options dialog box in Internet Explorer 11 in protected mode. When you browse HTTPS web pages, you expect to receive the following warning message:
You are about to view pages over a secure connection.
However, the warning message is not displayed, and navigation to the HTTPS web page fails.
Resolution
Update information
To resolve this problem, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. Additionally, see the technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. Note This update was first included in the November cumulative security update for Internet Explorer (MS14-065).
