"This Certificate Has an Invalid Digital Signature" Error Message After You Install the Windows NT 4.0 Security Rollup Package

begins with "https://") that uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), you may receive
the following error message when you view the server certificate, even if the
server certificate is properly trusted and valid: This
certificate has an invalid digital signature. This problem occurs
after you install the Windows NT 4.0 Security Rollup Package (SRP) on a
computer that is running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
or Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 2 (SP2). Note that this problem is with
the user interface only; no functionality is lost. RESOLUTIONA
supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to
correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to
computers that are experiencing this specific problem. To resolve this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the fix.
