Adding an International Keyboard.

To add an international keyboard layout, follow these steps:

Windows 11

  1. Select Start , type intl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

  2. On the Formats tab, you'll see a drop-down to choose different keyboard settings. You can select the default recommended option to "Match Windows display language" or you can select a specific language from the drop-down list.

  3. Selelct Language preferences in the control panel settings to make customizations to your PC that impact your overall language and region.

  4. In the Region dialog box with Formats tab selected, you'll see several drop-downs that allow you to customize the formatting for dates and times.

  5. Select Additional settings ... to see more customizations for numbers, currency, time, and date. This is also where you'll find an option to reset your settings to the default settings.

  6. Go to Region and select the Administrative tab, then select Copy settings. There you see options to copy your settings to your Welcome screen and system accounts. There's also an option to copy these settings to New user accounts.

  7. Another option on the Administrative tab is to select Change system locale.... Use this option with caution. Changing your system locale impacts all user accounts on this computer.
