SUMMARY
This article describes how to determine which version of eConnect is installed and any Service Packs.

To find out which version of eConnect is installed, there are two options.
1. The Version information from Add/Remove programs.
Note This method does NOT show which service pack has been applied.
a. Click Start, click Settings, click Control Panel, and then click double-slick Add/Remove Programs.
b. In the list of programs installed, select Microsoft Business Solutions eConnect 7.x and then click the link titled 'Click here for support information.'
The version of eConnect will appear in the Support Info window.
2. Use the VersionInfo tool. This tool is found in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Great Plains\eConnect7 (or eConnect75)\Version Information folder. It can also be found by clicking Start, clicking Programs, clicking eConnect 7x, and then clicking eConnect Version Information.
Once you open the VersionInfo tool, you must set the connection string to the Dynamics database. when the connection string has been set, click the Refresh button. This will then show all the companies that have eConnect installed in them. The version will be displayed for each company and will appear similar to the following:
Version - 7.0.5.7
In the example, Service Pack 7 would have been applied to eConnect 7.0.5.0.
