How to disable Business Contact Manager in Outlook with Business Contact Manager

This article describes how to disable Business Contact Manager in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager and in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager.

You can use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel to remove Business Contact Manager. However, if you want to disable Business Contact Manager without removing Business Contact Manager, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Outlook.
  2. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Microsoft.BusinessSolutions.eCRM.OutlookAddIn.Connect.1
  4. Right-click LoadBehavior, and then click Modify.
  5. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
  6. Quit Registry Editor.
  7. Start Outlook.
To enable Business Contact Manager after you have disabled Business Contact Manager, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Outlook.
  2. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  3. Locate and then click following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Microsoft.BusinessSolutions.eCRM.OutlookAddIn.Connect.1
  4. Right-click LoadBehavior, and then click Modify.
  5. In the Value data box, type 3, and then click OK.
  6. Quit Registry Editor.
  7. Start Outlook.
