SYMPTOMS

When you try to install the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) Validation Tool to validate Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, you cannot validate successfully. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

This problem occurs because the appropriate permissions are not detected.
