When you use the Quick Print feature to print an outline in Microsoft Office Word 2007, the outline does not print as expected. The outline levels that you set on the Outline Tools tab are printed. However, the hidden outline levels are also printed. These hidden outline levels are printed over the visible outline levels that you set. Therefore, the text is unreadable. Additionally, when you click Print Preview to view the outline, the complete document is displayed instead of the Outline View of the document.

Symptoms

To work around this issue, print your document by using the standard Print dialog box. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button.

  2. Point to Print, and then click Print.

  3. In the Print dialog box, make any changes that you want, and then click OK.

Workaround

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
